Job Description

4Recruitment Services are seeking  an experienced Housing Register Allocations Officer to support a targeted project focused on changes to housing register rules.

The client will allow hybrid working with 1 day per week in the Maidenhead office.

This role will involve reviewing and reassessing applicants on the housing register to ensure compliance with updated eligibility criteria, including re-banding qualifying applicants and removing those who no longer qualify.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Review housing register applications in line with updated register rules
  • Re-band applicants who meet revised qualification criteria
  • Identify and remove applicants who no longer qualify for the housing register
  • Work with housing nominations and allocations processes
  • Ensure all decisions comply with Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act
  • Maintain accurate records and updates using the Jigsaw housing system
  • Liaise with internal housing teams to ensure consistency and compliance

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Experience with housing nominations and allocations
  • Proven experience working with a local authority housing register
  • Strong knowledge of Housing Act Part 6 and Part 7
  • Hands-on experience using Jigsaw
  • Ability to interpret policy and apply it consistently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage casework efficiently
  • Basic DBS check
