QSW – CHILDRENS SOCIAL WORKER – SAFEGUARDING
Job Description
About the Role:
Join a passionate and well-supported Safeguarding Team within NCT, holding Child in Need and Child Protection cases from the first CiN meeting or Initial Child Protection Conference through to case closure. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced social workers to work in a progressive environment focused on children’s safety, wellbeing, and development.
You will:
- Hold and manage a varied caseload (average 20) of CiN and CP cases
- Work collaboratively with Advanced Practitioners, Team Managers, and partner agencies
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and child protection strategies
- Receive regular, supportive supervision from visible and engaged senior staff
- Join a friendly, team-focused culture that values quality and impact over just targets
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in statutory children’s safeguarding
- Skilled in managing risk and handling complex family dynamics
- Excellent assessment, report writing, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment
