Insurance Officer – Enfield
£25.00 ph
Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days work from home
Full time
Main Responsibilities
- Investigate insurance claims from first notification to settlement, including site visits.
- Negotiate property and liability claims within the organisation’s handling arrangements.
- Support management of the organisation’s £1.5 billion property insurance portfolio.
- Assist in identifying and mitigating insurable risks across departments.
- Liaise with insurers, solicitors, loss adjusters, and internal teams.
- Prepare reports, returns, and evidence for insurers and courts.
- Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and Council policies.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Non-life insurance experience (public or private sector) covering motor, public liability, employers’ liability, and property insurance claims.
- Claims negotiation and settlement expertise.
- Knowledge of insurance policy cover and liability.
- Strong communication skills (telephone and face-to-face).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyse data and present well-reasoned conclusions.
