Job Description

Your Role: As a Social Worker in Children’s Services, you will work with children and families to assess needs, create robust care plans, and provide the right support at the right time. Your work will focus on safeguarding, child protection, looked after children, and family support.
Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake high-quality assessments and develop effective care plans.
• Work within statutory guidelines and best practice frameworks to safeguard children.
• Engage with children, families, and multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with legal and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to court proceedings when necessary, including writing reports and giving evidence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in Children’s Services (child protection, safeguarding, LAC, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of current legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004.
• Confident in managing complex caseloads and making sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
