Social worker – Children’s Services – North Wales
Job Description
The Role: You will be working with children and families who need support, protection, and care. Whether working on Child in Need, Child Protection, or Looked After Children cases, you will help ensure the best possible outcomes for some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop clear, outcome-focused care plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to provide coordinated support.
- Attend and contribute to case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with legal and professional standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Care Wales (or willing to register).
- Experience in statutory Children’s Services, ideally including safeguarding, LAC, and CP work.
- Sound understanding of Welsh legislation and policy, including the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
- Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.
- A commitment to working in a strengths-based, child-focused way.
