Social worker – Children’s services – South Wales
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments and develop outcome-focused care and support plans.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children.
- Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners to build sustainable solutions.
- Prepare and present reports for case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
- Ensure children’s voices are central to care planning and intervention.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Care Wales (or willing to register).
- Experience working within statutory Children’s Services settings.
- Knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage complex caseloads, and maintain clear, accurate records.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering strengths-based, trauma-informed practice.
