Social worker – Childrens services – Hampshire
Job Description
Role Overview: As a Social Worker in Children’s Services, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding children, supporting families in crisis, and promoting positive outcomes. You’ll work within a supportive team structure to assess needs, build care plans, and deliver meaningful interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and families.
- Manage a diverse and complex caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to deliver effective, joined-up support.
- Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, legal proceedings, and case conferences.
- Build trusted relationships with children to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Solid experience in Children’s Services, including safeguarding and statutory work.
- A strong understanding of child development, risk assessment, and legislation (Children Act 1989/2004).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.
