Are you a passionate Night Concierge looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Night Concierge to work in our client’s Supported Housing service based In Kendal, Cumbria.

Pay Rates: £12.21 – £14.48 per hour umbrella rate

Information the Role: Please note: This is NOT a care role.
The Night Concierge role is supporting young adults who cannot live in the family home or are leaving care to live in their own flats. It involves helping them plan for their future, supporting them to apply for benefits, supporting them with the day – day skills to manage a tenancy or licence. This role involves a lot of administration and requires strong literacy and IT skills. It also requires great communication skills and the ability to be able to coach and support young people to reach their goals.

What you will be doing:

Work collaboratively as part of a committed team to deliver outstanding services and personalised support that puts customers first and empowers people to achieve their goals and aspirations. Contribute to the day-to-day service by undertaking a range of tasks to ensure the safe and effective management of our care and support services.

We use Psychologically Informed approaches and Trauma Informed Care principles to help customers develop new ways of thinking and make steps toward independence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the co-production of bespoke support and move-on plans, involving key stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Organising and conducting regular planned reviews of support and risk plans, or following incidents or significant changes in a customer’s circumstances.
  • Engaging customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop life skills.
  • Assisting with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters.
  • Identifying and promoting opportunities for employment, education, and training, supporting customers to overcome barriers.
  • Signposting customers to appropriate external support services, including community resources such as food banks.
  • Supporting customers to become ‘tenancy ready’ to enable successful independent living.
  • Helping customers achieve financial independence through budgeting and income maximisation.
  • Supporting and monitoring healthcare needs, including liaising with healthcare professionals.
  • Empowering customers to manage their own medication safely following established procedures.
  • Leading support initiatives, including group work sessions.
  • Ensuring customer safety by following safeguarding procedures, recognising risks, and escalating appropriately.
  • Maintaining accurate, strengths-based records of customer information on the relevant digital platform.

Service Delivery:

  • Facilitate the referral process into the service and assess potential new customers.
  • Support housing management tasks, including income collection and tenancy-related guidance.
  • Help maintain a safe environment by reporting repairs and health and safety concerns.
  • Clean and prepare rooms as required.
  • Resolve challenging situations sensitively, balancing individual needs with service safety responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain local partnerships to provide holistic support.
  • Perform day-to-day administration and operational duties.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT and administrative skills
  • Understanding of barriers faced by vulnerable individuals and those with complex needs.
  • Experience delivering structured support and risk management.
  • Team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible, and resilient attitude.
  • Experience positively resolving incidents.
  • Initiative and confidence to make and act on decisions.
  • Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce)

Desirable :

  • Knowledge of Psychological or Trauma Informed support approaches.
  • Experience in challenging environments with strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of current benefit systems.
  • Experience working in a care and support environment.
