Support will be delivered in a range of settings, including hostels, temporary accommodation and other community locations. The successful candidate will be required to work from the King’s Cross office at least one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusting relationships with survivors, providing person-centred and strengths-based support that promotes confidence, independence and positive change.
- Conduct regular community outreach to engage women who may struggle to access traditional support services.

- Support survivors to access health services, substance misuse support, education, training, employment and other specialist services.
- Advocate for survivors and their children, including accompanying them to appointments, court hearings and meetings with relevant agencies where required.
- Coordinate multi-agency support, working closely with housing, health, social care, criminal justice and voluntary-sector services.
- Help survivors reduce isolation, rebuild self-esteem and work towards their personal goals.
- Contribute to service development and wider advocacy to address the barriers faced by women experiencing domestic abuse and multiple disadvantages.
Essential Requirements
- Experience providing frontline support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, gender-based violence and/or multiple disadvantages.
- Experience of community outreach, engaging vulnerable individuals and overcoming barriers to accessing services.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, safety planning and delivering crisis interventions.
- Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals and external support services.
- An understanding of domestic abuse, trauma, safeguarding and the impact of multiple disadvantages on survivors and their children.
- Knowledge of available support options and the challenges survivors face when accessing housing, health, welfare and specialist services.
