Youth Engagement Coordinator – Brixton

£34.00 ph

Hybrid – mostly in office and around area.

Full time

The role will be to manage a group of Detached Youth Outreach workers, who’s duties are outlined below.

The role involves signposting young people to positive youth activities, delivering workshops in schools and community settings, and reducing community tensions through detached youth work. Successful candidates will also be responsible for delivering group work programmes, implementing youth outreach initiatives, and demonstrating strong community engagement skills.

This position requires a proactive and dynamic approach to engaging with young people in their own environments—building trust, fostering meaningful relationships, and providing tailored support that meets their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Planning, delivering, and evaluating group work programmes.
• Completing detached youth outreach sessions.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with young people, their families, and community stakeholders.
• Identifying and responding to the needs of young people, providing appropriate support and referrals.
