Organisational Development and Wellbeing Officer

Location: Cheshire East (hybrid/site based)
Contract: Full-time | 3 Month initial contract

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Organisational Development and Wellbeing Officer to help shape a thriving and inclusive workplace culture at Cheshire East Council. In this rewarding role, you’ll design, deliver, and evaluate programmes that support employee engagement, wellbeing, leadership development and culture change.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives aligned with our Workforce Strategy and Employee Deal
• Lead the Mental Health First Aider network and staff champion communities
• Run corporate induction programmes, team-building sessions and engagement events
• Support and analyse staff surveys and performance development initiatives
• Promote coaching, mentoring, and staff recognition schemes
• Collaborate with HR and attend external events to champion our employee offer and employer brand

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in organisational development, HR, or employee engagement
• Strong project management and communication skills
• A genuine passion for staff wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous improvement
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities
