Children’s Residential Care Officer
Spalding, PE11
09:00 – 22:00 shift pattern is 13 hours or can be 9-2 2-10, 37 hrs/week

• Support the day-to-day running of a children’s home, providing care for young people aged 8–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Support them with a therapeutic approach, PACE and two-handed parenting, that will help them to thrive and be the best they can possibly be
• This role involves basic duties such as assisting with routines, supervising activities, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment
• Support children with daily routines (meals, bedtimes, personal care)
• Supervise and engage in activities
• Promote a safe, calm environment
• Keep and maintain records of work
• Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary

Requirements

• Experience working with children/ young people
• Reliable, flexible, and calm under pressure
• Able to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
• DBS registered to the update service
