Technical Support Officer – Compliance (Electrical)

Overview of your role

To ensure the highest standards of electrical compliance and safety within the council, delivering high-quality, cost-effective services that meet regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Be responsible for the preparing, reviewing, monitoring and updating service contract specifications in line with current legislation and PSG contract documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, audits, and inspections.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Ensure regular inspections and testing of all plant, systems and equipment. Ensuring that works carried out by maintenance service contractors complies with standards required by servicing specifications.

Essential

• At least 5 years of experience in compliance management or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of compliance safety regulations and standards.
• Working knowledge of building services systems (electrical, mechanical services, HVAC etc.)  installation and operation.
• An in depth understanding of Health & Safety.

We have collaborative working day once a week in Shrewbury, other than that it will be ad-hoc site visits which could be scheduled to consolidate into a second day (though not every week), but do need fluidity around this.
