Are you a passionate Retirement Living Assistant  looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Retirement Living Assistant to work in a Woolwich.

Pay Rates:  £13.17 – £16.50 Umbrella

  • Information the Role: Successful candidates will be offered 16 hours per week.

 Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Retirement Living Assistant to support the smooth running of our retirement living scheme at Central Court, with occasional visits to two nearby schemes (within 20–40 minutes travel distance). This is a non-care role focused on health & safety, resident liaison, housing management support, and administrative reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Checks:
    Conduct regular building and flat-based checks to ensure all health and safety standards are met. Report hazards or risks and ensure appropriate follow-up action is taken.
  • Resident Interaction & Support:
    Engage with residents in a friendly, respectful manner. Offer signposting and general guidance (e.g., checking on the progress of repairs or issues raised, assisting with benefit-related queries in liaison with the benefits team).
  • Repairs & Maintenance Oversight:
    Identify and report any required repairs within the scheme or residents’ homes. Follow up to confirm completion and resident satisfaction.
  • Housing Management Support:
    Assist with move-in/move-out flat checks, including reporting on redecoration needs or issues before re-letting a unit.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    Work closely with other departments and teams across the organisation. Complete required forms, logs, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • IT & System Use:
    Use internal systems to log issues, complete forms, and communicate. Full training will be provided, but candidates should have strong general IT skills.
  • Ongoing support will be provided by experienced staff and the wider team, with clear guidance given on daily tasks.

 Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel to nearby schemes (one approx. 20 mins away; another approx. 40 mins away – Woolwich).
  • Travel costs via public transport or personal vehicle will be reimbursed (subject to expense form submission).
  • Travel arrangements and work location will be confirmed the day prior to each shift.
  • Ongoing support will be provided by experienced staff and the wider team, with clear guidance given on daily tasks.

Specialist knowledge skills and experience:

  • Highly vigilant and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with older adults
  • Proficient in basic IT systems and reporting tools
