Interim Service Manager – 0-25 Disabilities Service
Day Rate: £400 – £500
Location: South Gloucestershire
Will need access to a private car
 
We are seeking an experienced Interim Service Manager to lead the 0-25 Disabilities Service, ensuring high-quality support for children and young adults with disabilities who have health and social care needs. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams, including Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, and driving strategic improvements within the service. You will play a key role in ensuring that vulnerable children and young adults receive the right care and support while promoting multi-agency collaboration and service excellence.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the 0-25 Disabilities Service.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring effective service delivery and professional development.
  • Ensure services comply with national standards and statutory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to provide comprehensive support packages.
  • Monitor performance, manage resources, and implement service improvements.
  • Represent the service at strategic meetings and partnership boards.
  • Oversee commissioning of services to meet the needs of children and young adults.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised and relevant professional qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven track record of senior management within Children and Young People’s Services.
  • Project management and strategic planning experience.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources within Children’s Services.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of national issues and legal frameworks related to children and young people.
  • Experience in commissioning services and resource management.
  • Knowledge of Outcome-Based Accountability to drive service improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, handling confidential and sensitive matters effectively.
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience.
