Are you a passionate Registered Manager looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to work in a Residential Children’s Home based in Manchester.
Salary Information: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience and qualifications.
Information the Role: We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager (or experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up) to lead a residential children’s home, providing a warm, nurturing, and educationally rich environment.
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day running of the home.
- Create a family-style environment where children and young people can thrive.
- Ensure the home meets required inspection standards under Ofsted and operates in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff through supervision, coaching, and appraisals.
- Manage rotas, budgets, recruitment processes, and operational planning.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety compliance standards are consistently maintained.
- Work collaboratively with external professionals, education providers, and internal teams to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Essential Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to undertake)
- Willingness to register with Ofsted
- Minimum 2 years’ experience (within the past 5 years) in children’s residential care
- At least 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience in a care home setting
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and safer recruitment understanding
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and Ofsted inspection frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Proficient IT skills
- Full UK driving licence
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
