Rushcliffe, Nottingham
Umbrella Pay- £16.59 per hour
3 months initially
1 full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week) and 1 part-time role (18.5 hrs/week)
Our client are seeking 2 Social Work Assistant roles to join a District Child Protection, Court & Permanence team based in Rushcliffe, Nottingham.
- Direct work with children, young people and their families
- Assist social workers in the assessment of need, the implementation of plans, and the safeguarding for children and families
- Develop, implement, review and assess plans for children where appropriate
- Enable plans to be progressed in a more timely manner
- Liaise with schools, health services, voluntary agencies and other partner agencies
- Accompanying social workers on home visits, transporting/delivering/collecting as required
- Contribute to a working environment which is safe, considerate and supportive to all
- Attend meetings, reviews, conferences and case discussions
- Maintain up to date records and produce reports where necessary
- Participate in regular supervision
- Take up opportunities for relevant training and development
- Maintain effective, trusting working relationships
- Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Recent, extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families
- Knowledge of child development and children’s needs
- Experience of working with other agencies
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered onto the update service
