We are seeking an experienced Interim Service Manager to lead the 0-25 Disabilities Service, ensuring high-quality support for children and young adults with disabilities who have health and social care needs. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams, including Social Workers and Occupational Therapists, and driving strategic improvements within the service. You will play a key role in ensuring that vulnerable children and young adults receive the right care and support while promoting multi-agency collaboration and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the 0-25 Disabilities Service.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring effective service delivery and professional development.
- Ensure services comply with national standards and statutory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with partners to provide comprehensive support packages.
- Monitor performance, manage resources, and implement service improvements.
- Represent the service at strategic meetings and partnership boards.
- Oversee commissioning of services to meet the needs of children and young adults.
- Recognised and relevant professional qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS).
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven track record of senior management within Children and Young People’s Services.
- Project management and strategic planning experience.
- Experience managing budgets and resources within Children’s Services.
- Strong leadership and change management skills.
- In-depth understanding of national issues and legal frameworks related to children and young people.
- Experience in commissioning services and resource management.
- Knowledge of Outcome-Based Accountability to drive service improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, handling confidential and sensitive matters effectively.
- Management qualification or equivalent experience.
