Hybrid: Yes
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (37hrs per week)
Pay: £20.00-£25.00ph paid weekly via umbrella
Duration: Ongoing Contract – Long Term
Duties
As an Assistant Building Services Engineer within the clients Asset Management Service you will support, manage and deliver a range Building Service Engineering related services across the clients portfolio.
You will be able to undertake reactive response to building services related issues and failures, project management of small-scale Building Service related tasks and provide support to the Building Service Engineers on larger projects depending on their complexity and scale.
You will work on a range of building services issues where you will need to apply judgement and analysis to identify and implement solutions.
The reactive response to loss of heating and hot water and electrical services, instructing contractors to respond, in accordance with current guidelines, standards and regulations.
Manage small size Building Service related projects, ensuring they are delivered within time and budget to the quality expectations of the client, seeking the support of senior colleagues when required.
Support the Building Service Engineers in the effective delivery of all Building Service related tasks.
Supporting the Principal Building Services Engineer in the delivery of all Building Services related tasks.
Act as Duty Engineer on a rota system with the other Engineers providing a point of contact for reactive calls.
Qualifications & Experience
Full UK drivers license
Recognised vocational or professional qualification plus a range of experience with Building Services OR working towards a professional qualification with sound practical experience OR Graduate entry level with sound practical experience OR Technical training through experience in Building Services.
Experience in Building Services reactive maintenance
Up to date and good knowledge and understanding of Building Services related applications, principles, and theory.
Good understanding of professional, regulatory, and statutory Building Services related standards.
