Revenues officer

Embark on an exciting journey as a Revenues Officer, where you’ll play a vital role in administering the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction scheme. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, delivering excellent customer service and contributing to the Welfare & Benefits Service objectives.

Highlights:

• Administer Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit claims accurately and within targeted timescales
• Work as part of a dedicated team, providing exceptional customer service
• Contribute to the Council’s vision, values, and behaviours

Preferred Requirements:

• Responsible for processing all claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit in accordance with Government legislation, case law, and local policy
• Ensure claims are processed accurately and within the targeted timescales
• Deliver excellent customer service at the first point of contact, in line with the Council’s vision, values, and behaviours
• Contribute to meeting the Welfare & Benefits Service objectives and applicable Customer Service targets
• Ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English
