Umbrella Pay- £14.98 - £16.13 per hour
2 months initially
Monday to Friday, 7am – 10pm, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid (community and WFH)
Our client are seeking a home support worker to work within its End of Life services to meet the increasing demands for end of life and palliative care.
- Provide physical, practical and emotional support to people in day to day living and self-care, whilst protecting their rights as an adult
- Work in partnership with the existing team to deliver person centred care and emotional support to family to ensure the service users final wishes to remain at home are met
- Attend to personal needs and follow support plans, including personal care and manual handling
- Support with other aspects of life such as domestic tasks and medication
- Ensure that individuals with learning disabilities have the opportunity to achieve their ambitions and aspirations in the community where they live
- Support and encourage the service users to maintain relationships
- Ensure the appropriate action is taken regarding property issues, general maintenance, health and safety, and risk management
- Value the service users as individuals and treat them with respect
- Work with other professionals, health staff and other stakeholders, families and carers
- Keep and maintain records of work
- Attend meetings and reviews where necessary
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Experience providing end of life care
- Experience and willing to provide personal care
- Excellent organisation skills
- Enhanced DBS registered to the update service
