Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor
Location: London
Day Rate: £380 per day
 
About the Role:
 
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves providing expert legal advice and support across a range of commercial contracts and procurement matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and advising on complex commercial agreements within a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service agreements, and procurement contracts.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on procurement processes, contract law, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies related to commercial contracts.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure legal compliance and adherence to company policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all contracts are compliant with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Resolve contract disputes and provide guidance on contract performance issues.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior legal staff.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor in the UK with a minimum of 3 years of PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in commercial contracts and procurement law.
  • Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of UK contract law, procurement regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Local authority experience
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
