Day Rate: £380 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves providing expert legal advice and support across a range of commercial contracts and procurement matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and advising on complex commercial agreements within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service agreements, and procurement contracts.
- Provide strategic legal advice on procurement processes, contract law, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies related to commercial contracts.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure legal compliance and adherence to company policies.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with current legislation and industry standards.
- Resolve contract disputes and provide guidance on contract performance issues.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior legal staff.
- Qualified Solicitor in the UK with a minimum of 3 years of PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in commercial contracts and procurement law.
- Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Strong knowledge of UK contract law, procurement regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Local authority experience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
