Job Description
Liverpool (based within a school but will also be expected to support YP and their families within the community)
02/09/2023 – 2 months initially
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 35 hrs/week – Hybrid
- Work with young people, parents and carers in school settings to improve young people’s engagement with education, improve attendance and support young people
- Provide a range of services to courts, families, young offenders, young people at risk of offending, young people at risk of poor life choices, victims and the community
- Assess, plan and deliver interventions according to the needs of young people and their families
- Develop projects and activities with young people to enhance their skills, confidence, personal and social development
- Work with other agencies to maximise the resources and opportunities available for young people
- Assist in the development and delivery of programmes of work with young people, both group and individual
- Ensure the views and wishes of the young people are represented
- Develop strong, trusting working relationships
- Dealing with customer feedback, including complaints, and learning from feedback in the drive for continuous improvement
- Record and maintain all work done
- Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Experience of working with young people and their families
- Experience of delivering group and individual programmes of work with young people
- Experience of case management with young people
- Knowledge of and experience of applying LCC Child Protection Procedures
- Understanding of risk and safeguarding issues for young people
- Excellent listening and assessment skills
- Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
