Are you ready to take the lead in delivering a high-quality Building Control service and shaping the future of building regulations? We are seeking a Principal Building Control Surveyor to play a pivotal role in managing, developing, and enhancing our Building Regulations services.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a team of Building Control professionals, including surveyors and trainees.
- Support the Team Manager in operational management and deputize as required.
- Ensure the authority meets statutory building regulation requirements and national standards.
- Oversee safety matters for sports grounds and high-rise buildings, with a focus on fire escape strategies.
- Manage partnerships with local authorities and businesses to secure additional work and expand services.
- Handle dangerous structures and emergency building safety issues, including out-of-hours response.
- Develop marketing strategies to counter external competition and secure new business opportunities.
- Strong leadership and management skills to guide a dynamic team.
- Proven expertise in building regulations and safety standards.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for delivering high-quality services.
- Experience in managing partnerships and developing innovative solutions to meet evolving needs.
