Position: Pensions Administration Manager - Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
Location: Harrow, London
Rate: £400/day
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Pensions Admin Manager to oversee and manage the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for the borough. As the lead officer and key adviser, you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of pension services to over 5,700 pensioners, active and deferred members, and employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration of the Harrow LGPS, managing daily operations and implementing legislative changes to maintain compliance and service excellence.
- Provide expert advice to the Pensions Committee and Board, ensuring strategic decisions are well-informed and aligned with current regulations.
- Oversee in-house pension services, supporting 33 employers, including the council, which is the largest employer within the Harrow LGPS Pension Fund.
- Proactively monitor and respond to changes in industry legislation, regulations, and guidance to keep the pension scheme up-to-date and compliant.
- Play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing a significant public sector pension scheme.
