Clifton, Nottingham
Umbrella Pay- £15.23 per hour
23/09/2024 – 3 months initially
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week (will be required to cover a duty rota)
Our client are seeking a Children's Support worker required to join a Disability Team based in Nottingham.
- Supporting children and families with setting up short break packages for children
- Carry out assessments for children with disabilities that have unmet needs
- Assessments will cover areas such as education, behavioural development, housing and environment etc..
- Completing statutory visits
- Provide emotional and practical support and advise on issues they are having
- Set up care packages, review the package, report writing
- Liaise with other agencies to provide services and sign post, ensuring their needs are met
- Arranging meetings
- Provide written and verbal contributions to meetings based on the children and families
- Supporting social workers with families that require additional support
- Keep and maintain accurate files and records
- Relevant Professional Level Qualification
- Experience working with children and with disabilities and their families
- Experience of mental capacity would be ideal
- Ability to set up care packages, review the package, report writing, arranging meetings and completing statutory visits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered onto the update service
