Mansfield
Umbrella Pay- £16.11 per hour
14/10/2024 – 3 months initially
Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm, 37 hrs/week
- Arrange and supervise contact between children, young people aged 0-17 and their families
- Ensure that appropriate boundaries are established and maintained during contact
- Provide appropriate guidance, advice and support to parents/carers, as required
- Record information accurately
- Identify and report any safeguarding concerns and inform the line manager of this
- Immediately inform the Line Manager of significant events arising before, during or after contact
- Collect and escort children to and from a range of venues that will include; foster carers, school, children’s centres, private nurseries, crèche and any other location, where necessary
- Develop strong working relationships
- May occasionally be required to attend court to contribute evidence as part of care proceedings
- Attend meetings relating to the children and young people
- Develop and improve personal skills through attending relevant training and participation in relevant staff development processes
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care working with Children and Young People
- A minimum of a years’ experience working with children and/or young people
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues
- Ability to recognise any concerns which require the attention of the Social Worker/ Team Manager
- Understanding of what constitutes good parenting and an ability to demonstrate a good role model to parents/ young people in this respect
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered onto the update service
