4Recruitment Services are recruiting for Care Workers to work in a busy Adult Social Care service based across Gloucester.
Pay Rates: £13.00 - £15.50 per hour (Rates are dependant of shift type Umbrella Rates)
Information on the Role
Successful candidates will be offered different shift patterns.
What you will be doing:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Adult Social Care In-House services to ensure continuity of care.
- Support individuals with all aspects of their day-to-day living as detailed in the care plan.
- Promote the health and wellbeing of individuals, ensuring all care needs are met.
- Monitor and respect back on the progress of individuals both verbally and in writing as required.
- Protect individuals from abuse and avoidable harm.
- Be aware of Corporate and departmental policies and procedures and follow these. Adhering to all health and safety instructions and risk assessments to ensure the safety of individuals and colleagues.
- Participate in supervision and appraisals.
- Undertale suitable training and other opportunities for staff development as directly by the line manager.
Skills & Professional Characteristics Needed:
- An understanding of the role and responsibilities of workers in the health and social care sector.
- The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures,
- Good ICT skills, including Microsoft packages.
- Good listening and communication skills
- An understanding of legislation and principles of care and support, including the General Data Protection Act, Safeguarding and the Equalities Act
- An understanding of the role and purpose of promotion health and well-being, including the influence of life factors.
Essential Requirements:
- Educated to GCES Level English 9 – 4 (or equivalent)
- Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
